Dreadfjord once stood as a proud trading post, but greed and hubris grew alongside the power of the Grand Mayor. When the Long Winter struck, the citizens were powerless to resist. Some fled, more died. Only those at home to pain and anguish remained to fight amongst the frozen streets.
Dreadfjord is a miniature agnostic skirmish game which fuses the grimdark mechanics of Mörk Borg with the brutal action of tabletop gaming.
Build your warband, choose your allegiance and fight through the 10 scenarios in either a solo or versus campaign.
Align yourself with the corrupt Grand Mayor or the secretive Sheriff and lay down your life for the cause.
Collect sins and blessings for your actions, but be warned that every action has a consequence. Earn re-rolls for your warband or become a gibbering wreck torn apart by guilt – the choice is entirely yours.
Using weather and random occurrence tables, a battle can swing in an instant – nothing is ever won and nothing is truly lost until the last piece falls.
Whatever you do, don’t get too attached to your warriors. Death is a part of life in Dreadfjord, and few will survive to see the city rise again or fall to ashes. Use the game’s crafting mechanics to strengthen your chosen few and upgrade your weapons when you can, but above all else, remember that Dreadfjord is not a place to win or lose; it is a place to endure until you, too, are buried within its ice.
